Driver Agreement

By creating an account and accepting transport assignments through My Animal Transport, you agree to the terms below.

1. Account Requirements

Each driver may maintain only one account, tied to their verified identity, including name, address, phone number, and driver's license. Duplicate or secondary accounts are prohibited. Any additional accounts may be locked and permanently closed. Driver accounts are non-transferable. Ownership may not be sold, assigned, or shared without prior written approval from My Animal Transport.

2. Background Screening

To build trust and gain a competitive edge, drivers are strongly encouraged to complete a background screening to earn a \'Verified Background\' badge on their profile. While not mandatory for platform access, shippers are more likely to book transporters with verified credentials.

3. Professional Conduct

Drivers agree to: - Treat all animals with care, patience, and respect at all times. - Maintain safe and clean vehicles suitable for animal transport. - Comply with all applicable federal, state, and local animal transport laws and regulations. - Communicate promptly and professionally with shippers regarding scheduling, delays, or concerns. - Provide timely updates, including photos or status messages, during active transports.

4. Shipment Commitments and Cancellations

By accepting a booking, you commit to fulfilling the transport as agreed. Cancellations harm customer confidence and may result in penalties under our Canceled Shipments Policy (for Drivers). Excessive cancellations may lead to temporary account suspension or permanent removal from the platform.

5. Insurance and Liability

Drivers are required to maintain a valid driver's license, registration, and insurance coverage for their vehicle. My Animal Transport is not responsible for damages, injuries, or losses incurred during transport. Optional 'Pet Protection' coverage may be offered to shippers at booking, but drivers remain responsible for their conduct and compliance with laws.

6. Payments and Fees

Drivers set their own transport fees and receive payment directly from shippers through the My Animal Transport platform. Platform service fees may apply and are disclosed at the time of booking. Drivers are responsible for all taxes, expenses, and reporting related to their income earned through the platform.

7. Account Suspension and Termination

My Animal Transport reserves the right to suspend, restrict, or permanently terminate a driver's account for: - Repeated cancellations or late arrivals. - Failure to maintain required documents (license, insurance, registration). - Engaging in fraud, misrepresentation, or unsafe conduct. - Violations of this Agreement or other platform policies.

8. Independent Contractor Relationship

Drivers are independent contractors and not employees, agents, or representatives of My Animal Transport. Drivers are responsible for their own schedules, expenses, vehicles, and equipment. Nothing in this Agreement creates an employment, partnership, or joint venture relationship.

9. Amendments

My Animal Transport may update or amend this Agreement at any time. Drivers will be notified of material changes via the platform or by email. Continued use of the platform after notification constitutes acceptance of the updated Agreement.

10. Acknowledgment

By registering as a driver on My Animal Transport, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to this Driver Agreement and all incorporated policies.
